Meet the Doctors

Dr. Leslie Windman, B.C.A.O


Dr. Leslie is an internationally known Board Certified Atlas Orthogonist specializing in treating the wide array of diseases and medical conditions caused by the imbalance of the Atlas vertebra (C1).

 

She is an acknowledged leader in the field, and over the last decade, Dr. Windman has lectured extensively on the topic, addressing physical therapists, neurologists, dentists, nurses, and many other healthcare professionals about the nature of the special relationship between the misaligned vertebra and those conditions.

 

Dr. Windman has also been a guest lecturer at, among others, NASA, Johns Hopkins University Hospital, and Children's Hospital in Washington, DC. She was honored at the Women's Wellness Conference in St. Croix in 2013. On an ongoing basis, she teaches at Continuing Education Seminars and dental and physician's societies conventions in the region. In addition, she has authored numerous articles for professional and lay journals and periodicals, and is the co-author for the Chicken Soup for the Chiropractic Soul."

 

Dr. Windman was the first Atlas Orthogonal practitioner to introduce the use of digital radiography as a diagnostic tool in the greater Washington area.  

 

Dr. Windman is a graduate of the prestigious Palmer University, the first such institution to achieve university status, and has completed advanced training in specialized cervical procedures at the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Michael has been a practicing Chiropractor for the last twenty years, after his wife, Dr. Leslie was injured in an automobile accident in 1988. He received his doctorate degree in 1994 from the prestigious  Palmer University, and is now at the forefront of his profession.

 

Dr. Windman averages almost 100 hours of continuing education each year, to stay on the cutting edge of techniques used to reduce pain and improve function. He is an expert in the corrective treatment of Low Level Laser Therapy.

 

Dr. Michael Windman continues to develop treatment protocols based on scientific studies that prove best for his patients particular conditions.  Every patients needs are different and there are many variables that can affect their results.  With countless studies and clinical trials to prove it's success, chiropractic corrections combined with laser therapy, is the absolute best option for reducing inflammation, relieving pain and accelerating healing.
